[THE MINDANAO TODAY] BARMM TURNOVER INFRA PROJECTS TO MAG SUR TOWN

COTABATO CITY – The Bangsamoro government officially turned over the Multi-Purpose Learning Center project to the residents of Barangay Sampao in Guindulungan town, Maguindanao del Sur.

It was funded by P1.85 million under the 2021 Transitional Development Impact Fund of Member of Parliament Diamila Disimban Ramos.

In a social media post on November 22, MP Ramos said that the learning center was designed for the welfare of Brgy. Sampao and nearby communities so that they can cultivate, develop, and further expand their skills in developing products and even services for their organizations.

Through this facility, they can have enough space for various activities, such as seminars, workshops to further grow their livelihood, and meetings to promote unity and peace in their community.

“Ang pagpapatayo ng ganitong pasilidad ay hindi lamang basta isang proyektong imprastraktura; ito ay isang mahalagang instrumento sa paghubog ng isang nagkakaisa, mas maunlad at mas matatag na komunidad, lalong lalo na ng ating mga kababaihan, kabataan, senior citizens, at ng iba pang miyembro ng komunidad,” MP Ramos said. [Building such a facility is not just an infrastructure project; it is an important instrument in shaping a united, more developed, and more stable community, especially for our women, youth, senior citizens, and other community members.]

Ramos, the current Chairperson of the Committee on Women, Youth, Children, and Persons with Disabilities in the Bangsamoro Transition Authority, was one of those actively giving useful infrastructure projects to her constituents.

The Ministry of Public Works, under the leadership of Minister Eduard Guerra, served as a partner implementing agency for this project.

Moreover, Guindulungan Vice Mayor Ghiadzali Rene Midtimbang expressed his gratitude to Parliament Member Ramos and to the Bangsamoro Government for the first infrastructure project from BARMM that was built in this barangay.

The barangay, on the other hand, led by Chairman Datu Elthon Pandita, thanked those who made this project successful, which will truly benefit the people under his jurisdiction.

Meanwhile, Public Works Project Engr. Al-Muhydin Nor also attended the said program together with former Kabuntalan Mayor Bai Susan Samad, other barangay officials, religious leaders, and representatives of the women's sector in Sampao. (PRS)
