[THE MINDANAO TODAY] BARMM WOMEN COMMITTEE CHAIR UNVEILS NEW BUILDING

COTABATO NEWS DESK – Empowering women and cooperatives in the Bangsamoro region, continues. This after, the Bangsamoro government recently unveils a new building in the town of Datu Abdullah Sangki, Maguindanao Del Sur, primarily dedicated to the welfare of the said sectors.
Funded through the 2020 Transitional Development Impact Fund of Bangsamoro Member of the Parliament Diamila Disimban Ramos, with the Ministry of Public Works Maguindanao Del Sur District Engineering Office as partner implementing agency, the P3.5 million worth building features a function room, meeting room, and an office suited to cater to the needs of women in the community.
In her social media post, MP Ramos, the Chairperson of the BTA Parliament’s Committee on Women, Youth, Children, and Persons with Disabilities said that this project will also strengthen the committee’s women agenda promoting throughout the region.

"Ang kooperasyon ay susi sa tagumpay. Ito ang diwa po na nais nating patuloy na buhayin sa pamamagitan ng pasilidad na ito (Cooperation is the key to success. This is the spirit that we want to continue through this facility)," Parliament Member Ramos added.
Officials and other stakeholders from DAS have warmly accepted and rejoiced this project in their area.
One of those who joined Ramos during the turnover was Mayor Suharto Al Wali S. Mangudadatu. The mayor, son of Maguindanao del Sur Governor Bai Mariam Sangki-Mangudadatu, said that this project was a form of support for the women's sector to enhance and improve their capacities.

"Our local government are very thankful for this support (of MP Ramos) to our women sector as it contributed on being part of our mission, programs, projects and policies responsive to the sustainable role and development of our people, In partnership with civil, social and government instrumentalities. Kaya dito sa Datu Abdullah Sangki, tayo lahat ay sabay sabay aangat at walang maiiwan, (So here in Datu Abdullah Sangki, we will all rise together and no one will be left behind),” he added.
Other local officials such DAS Municipal Vice Mayor Samsodhen A. Sangki and women groups, are also present in the turnover held in the Barangay Talisawa. (PRL)
